Our Story of Giving

Southwest Trading Post is not just a store, it’s an experience. As soon as you walk through the door, you feel the positive energy of the Native Americans surround you. Soothing flute music echoes across the rooms, the aroma of healing essential oils clears the mind, and inspiration abounds in the handiwork of Native American Indian artisans.

By bringing the Southwest experience to the Northeast in the form of an “old time trading post,” our customers say they experience the healing spirit behind the Native American culture — almost firsthand. We promote the Native American philosophy, that what you give out to the universe you get back in return. We want to keep the circle going.

When you buy something here, you are buying a piece of history, something that has meaning behind it. All of the products we sell are one of a kind, hand crafted — mostly on Indian reservations from the Navajo, Zuni, Hopi and Pueblo tribes of New Mexico and Arizona, the tribes of North and South Dakota, along with Cherokee items. When you are here you feel as though you have entered an old time trading post.

We offer:

>> Handcrafted silver and turquoise jewelry direct from Indian Reservations
>> An array of handmade pottery
>> Music from local and Native American artists
>> Nuwati Herbal Products
>> Minnetonka Moccasins {We’re an authorized dealer!}

Beth and Butch are HEALERS.
Through their life experiences, they want to help others to heal physically and energetically.  They care about people and want to pay it forward. You’ll often hear them comment, “Wear this in good health” because they truly want the best for their customers.

Everything in life is a circle.
What you give is what you get back.
